Higher-Order Effects in Biaxial Flexure of GFRP I-Section Beams

A theoretical study of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) beams subjected to biaxial bending moments is presented with a focus on the influence higher-order effects maximum normal stresses. It shown that type loading causes dramatic increase in stress for GFRP beam when induced torsional are included. The demonstrates traditional first-order theory can grossly underestimate beam. Based numerical results using which also accounts warping stresses, found be about two three times larger than determined theory.

We investigate theoretically the nonlinear propagation of the limited diffraction Bessel beam in nonlinear media, under the successive approximation of the KZK equation. The result shows that the nth-order harmonic of the Bessel beam, like its fundamental component, is radially limited diffracting, and that the main beamwidth of the nth-order harmonic is exactly 1/n times that of the fundamental.
